*The Specifics
This family is preparing to move to Dublin later this year and is looking for a dedicated nanny to join their household. They are seeking someone with experience in the Montessori method, or a strong interest in learning about it, to help raise their children. The ideal nanny will be patient, open minded, and confident in their approach, with an appreciation for routines and structure that support child development. G (4 years) will be attending morning preschool M-F beginning in August.
The nanny will be responsible for helping with light housekeeping tasks such as emptying the dishwasher, placing dishes in the dishwasher as they are used, assisting the children in cleaning up after meals and activities, organizing the toy room, and folding the children’s laundry if time permits. The family values open communication, love, and affection, and believes their children thrive in structured routines that include meals, naps, and activities. The family enjoys outings to places like COSI, the zoo, the conservatory, shopping centers, the library, and playgrounds, as well as family movie nights and outdoor play. They describe themselves as positive, optimistic, child-centered, empathetic, patient, and respectful.
Their parenting style is Montessori-centered, with a goal of guiding their children while nurturing their independence, confidence, and happiness. They believe in parenting through modeling, listening, and communicating. The ideal nanny should be comfortable with a child-centered approach, allowing the children to lead their activities and providing them with appropriately sized tools and spaces to foster self-sufficiency. Mom and Dad are easy-going dentists who value direct and honest communication. They are looking for a nanny who is communicative, patient, fun, and kind. Their eldest daughter has a lot of energy but is also quite calm and self-sufficient. They want a nanny who will engage her with activities and provide meaningful interaction.
The family is looking for a long-term nanny who will become an integral part of their children's lives, providing consistency and stability. They believe in raising independent, happy, and confident daughters and are excited to find someone who shares their values and can help create a nurturing and supportive environment for their children.
