Frequently Asked Questions

Who pays the nanny?

The Nanny Avenue does not employ any Nannies. All Nannies are employees of the family and are paid directly from the family. We will refer you to a payroll company who will walk you through all that is required as an employer.

How much should I pay my nanny?

Nannies in Columbus typically earn $22-$35 hourly. This rate depends on education, experience, and the position requirements. Offering a higher salary and benefits including mileage reimbursement, sick days, vacation time, paid holidays, and a healthcare stipend will help you attract more candidates.

What if my nanny quits or isn't a good fit?

We are confident in the candidates we send to your family. Replacements are rare however, if this happens we offer a replacement period of 30, 60, or 90 days. If we must replace within that period, we will re start the search again, with no additional cost.

How long does the process take?

For Part Time and Full Time positions we recommend you allow 4-6 weeks. Most of our families are matched with their nanny in the first three interviews. The extra time allows The Nanny Avenue the flexibility to market for your position longer.
