*The Specifics

This family considers themselves to be kind, informal, and down-to-earth. Their ideal nanny would be thoughtful, caring to an infant and someone who can excel in the developmental growth for their child. Someone with infant experience and who has a genuine interest in engaging with children. (singing, reading, tummy time, sensory play etc.) The nanny’s typical schedule will be 8am-5pm, Monday through Wednesday, as well as Friday. On occasion, the nanny may be asked to help on weekends (similar time) with advance notice. A nurturing and engaging environment is important, with the family emphasizing hands-on activities over screen time to foster creativity and curiosity. From outdoor adventures and playdates, they hope the nanny will facilitate socialization with other children. Their ideal candidate would also have sleep training and potty training experience.

Their two cats, Lincoln (a Siberian Forest cat/very friendly) and Zeke (a Bengal/skittish) are part of their family. (The nanny will not be responsible for any cat related duties). Mom occasionally works from an in-home office, however, cannot typically step away from meetings. Beyond childcare, light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up after activities to ensure a clean and organized space conducive to play and learning will be asked of the nanny. As first-time parents, they are drawn to the principles of Montessori, advocating for independence and consistency in discipline. In their free time, they enjoy walks to the park and supporting Dad’s hockey coaching endeavors. Mom enjoys riding horses and supporting her friends during horse shows. They value their close relationship with nearby family, cultivating a sense of community and connection. They are seeking a long-term nanny; someone who shares their values, demonstrating patience, creativity, and adaptability. Together, they envision a nurturing environment where their child can thrive, explore, and grow with love and support. They cannot wait to meet you.
