*The Specifics

This family is seeking a long-term, dedicated, reliable nanny who values stability, consistency, warmth, and thoughtful childcare. They hope to build a relationship that lasts for several years. The household is both structured and welcoming, with parents who provide clear guidance and daily notes to support success.

The family maintains a consistent routine and values dependability, a positive outlook, a strong work ethic, and a nanny who is confident taking initiative without needing constant direction. The primary focus of the role is caring for two young children whose needs continue to evolve as they grow. B (4 years), currently attends preschool part-time and thrives with caregivers who enjoy outdoor play in all seasons, educational activities, and reading and writing practice. He is expressive, energetic, sensitive, and joyful, and benefits greatly from engagement, structure, and curiosity-driven learning.

B (7 months) is mild-mannered, content, and calm, rarely fussy, and responds to gentle, attentive care. Experience with both preschool-aged children and infants—and the ability to manage their differing needs simultaneously—is essential. The family places a strong emphasis on personality and values, seeking someone mature, responsible, positive, diligent, hardworking, and drama-free.

They appreciate a nanny who is respectful of house culture, values education, enjoys enriching conversations, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment. Child-related household tasks such as light vacuuming, wiping countertops, and children’s laundry are expected, always with the understanding that childcare comes first. The family provides a nanny vehicle for transporting the children to and from school and other outings.

Outdoor time, reading, crafts, and educational play are important to this family, and the ideal nanny will genuinely enjoy engaging with the children in meaningful ways.

B (4 years) has a serious allergy to cashews and pistachios, as well as seasonal allergies, so attentiveness and comfort managing allergies are critical. The parents are family-centered, hardworking, and value shared meals, often inviting the nanny to join them for dinner. They enjoy weekly date nights, travel from time to time, and look forward to including their children and their nanny in enriching experiences, perhaps including international travel in the future.

This role is ideal for someone who is warm, dependable, intellectually engaged, and emotionally intuitive, and who approaches nannying as both a meaningful responsibility and a genuine privilege. The family is eager to welcome a nanny who will become a trusted presence in their home and a meaningful part of their and their children’s lives.
