*The Details
This family is seeking a warm, proactive, and easygoing nanny who feels comfortable stepping into a household with three energetic and loving children. Their oldest child, a six-year-old son, attends first grade from 8:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday, while their four-year-old daughter is in school from 11:40am-3:00pm. Their youngest, a 2.5-year-old son, will begin attending a part-time program two days a week for two hours starting next year, with part-time preschool beginning in August 2027. The nanny will also be responsible for caring for the older two children on school holidays, breaks, and during summer vacation. During the summer months, the children spend a great deal of time at their country club pool, so the family is looking for a nanny who is fully comfortable in the water and confident supervising swimming.
Both parents are real estate agents who work unconventional hours and frequently split their time between being in and out of the house. Because of this, they hope to find someone who can easily “flow” with their lifestyle, remain adaptable, and feel comfortable working in a relaxed, family-oriented environment.
The ideal schedule is generally 8:00am to 4:00pm, though the family is very flexible for the right person and open to both part-time and full-time availability. Weekend support in the spring—specifically March through June, every other Saturday or Sunday for about four hours—would be a wonderful bonus but is not required. Above all, they are looking for someone who is laid-back and calm, yet also intuitive and proactive. Their children have strong personalities and thrive with a nanny who can “read the room,” anticipate needs before they arise, and respond confidently without needing to be micromanaged. Their current nanny has set a high standard for being perceptive, engaged, and naturally in tune with each child’s emotions and needs.
This family treats everyone in their home like family and wants their nanny to feel genuinely comfortable with them as well. They value kindness, humility, and someone who is happy to get on the floor and play, lead creative activities, engage the children with curiosity, and offer warmth and structure throughout the day. Responsibilities will focus fully on the children—keeping them happy, safe, and engaged through play, crafts, outdoor activities, and supportive routines. Additional tasks include light clean-up of children’s spaces, tidying the playroom, helping with dishes if time allows, and the occasional load of laundry. They also have a friendly 11-year-old dachshund who may need to be let out from time to time.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys becoming part of a close, relaxed, and loving family, appreciates a flexible work environment, and thrives when supporting children with joy, understanding, and thoughtful care.
