*The Specifics

This family, known for their bustling yet nurturing household, is seeking a dedicated nanny to care for their two children, a 3-year-old boy attending full-time Pre-K and a 1-year-old girl who stays at home. With a busy but kind and laid-back approach to life, they prioritize strong communication, trustworthiness, and reliability in their nanny. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, understanding the importance of building trust and confidence while maintaining open lines of communication throughout the day. Patience and understanding are valued traits, as the family practices gentle, authoritative parenting akin to the methods of "Big Little Feelings," emphasizing positive language and empathy in guiding their children.

Creativity and resourcefulness are key qualities in the nanny, who will be responsible for engaging the children in fun and educational activities both indoors and outdoors. With a basement play area, a playroom, and nearby parks, the nanny will have ample opportunities to foster imaginative play and exploration. Enthusiasm and a passion for working with children are essential, as the family desires a nanny who eagerly anticipates spending time with the kids each day. Experience with potty training would be huge plus!

In addition to childcare responsibilities, the nanny will assist with household tasks such as children’s laundry, dishes, and tidying play areas. The family practices an authoritative parenting style focused on redirection and positive reinforcement. They are a fun-loving and adventurous family who enjoy traveling.

Their two Siamese cats are also part of the family, though no specific duties are required for them. Both parents are career-driven but remain hands-on, popping in throughout the day. As they anticipate expanding their family in the near future, they seek a nanny comfortable with infants and capable of multitasking with multiple children. They excited to welcome their new nanny into their family and work together as a team.
