The Specifics
A warm and down-to-earth family is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate nanny to care for their children and become an integral part of their daily lives. With a fun-loving and kind approach, they are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and adaptable—someone who understands child development, is open to learning, and is willing to embrace their parenting style, which includes low-demand parenting and the use of declarative language.
The nanny will primarily care for their two-year-old during the school year while the older children attend school full-time. During the summer months, the nanny will have all three children, requiring someone with the energy and creativity to engage kids with different interests. The ideal candidate should be fun, patient, and enthusiastic about planning activities such as crafts, reading, outdoor play, and adventures in the community. A proactive approach to setting up engaging, developmentally appropriate activities is highly valued.
The family is looking for a nanny with communication skills who is willing to learn and grow alongside them. Their parenting approach supports their children’s unique needs, particularly their two oldest children, who have been diagnosed with ASD Level 1. While they require minimal supports, the family prioritizes emotional development and works to provide a nurturing, structured, and understanding environment. They are seeking a nanny who is willing to learn different approaches to working with neurodiverse children and will follow their lead in speaking to and supporting the kids in ways that work best for them.
This position requires a nanny who is reliable and punctual, working Tuesday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm, with the possibility of additional hours on Mondays for the right candidate. In addition to childcare, responsibilities will include light housekeeping related to the children, such as picking up after activities, children’s laundry, and meal prep to provide nutritious meals and snacks.
The family of five enjoys swimming, traveling, and spending time outdoors. Their children are involved in activities such as hip-hop, clogging, basketball, and games, and they love playing outside on bikes, scooters, and playgrounds. Their two-year-old especially enjoys playing with trains and creating art.
With a busy schedule—Dad working long hours as a CPA and Mom working part-time as a pediatric Occupational Therapist—they are looking for a long-term nanny who is passionate, kind, and committed to supporting their family. If you are a fun-loving, patient, and adaptable nanny looking for a meaningful role in a welcoming household, this could be the perfect fit!
