*The Specifics
This fun-loving, heart-filled family of two busy physicians and their three active young boys is looking for an exceptional nanny to join their lives as a trusted long-term team member. With ever-changing schedules, the nanny will have a guaranteed 120 hours per month, including some early morning shifts starting at 5 a.m., late shifts ending by 7 p.m., and occasional nights or weekends (2-3 per month). Scheduling will be shared 3-4 weeks in advance, with varied days including short shifts. The older boys attend preschool Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8am to 4pm.
Their ideal nanny will be calm, collected, and dependable, with high energy to keep up with three boys who love to play, explore, and engage. Parents need someone they can fully trust to handle both fun and crises with ease, as dependability and calm in any situation are essential. Key duties include cooking meals, managing boys’ laundry, keeping their rooms and play areas tidy, cleaning up after meals, and picking up main spaces at the end of the day. The nanny will also handle pick-up and drop-off routines for school and preschool. Additionally, they appreciate a proactive individual who takes initiative to ease household routines. A bonus would be helping with family laundry, sorting seasonal clothes, keeping track of children’s needs for shopping, and running errands as necessary.
This family values a balanced nanny—someone calm yet able to energetically run around outside and engage in creative play, especially for their middle child, who has sensory processing needs. The nanny should be willing to incorporate sensory play and creatively redirect him in productive ways, like suggesting he jump on the trampoline instead of the couch. A clear, professional communicator, the nanny will be able to address concerns or ideas in an open, straightforward way, building a warm, informal relationship with the family while remaining professional.
The family’s parenting approach emphasizes empathy, open communication, and responsibility for one’s actions, so a nanny who can reinforce these values and communicate kindly on the children's level is essential. They also have two friendly Siberian Huskies, who need feeding and letting out in their fenced yard, with walks on light days as an added plus. Outside of work, the family enjoys time outdoors at nearby parks, playing together, and values a nanny who embraces active play.
In return, they offer a welcoming environment, inviting the nanny to become a cherished, integral member of the family for years to come. This position is ideal for a nanny who shares their focus on open communication, respect, and kindness, and who is looking to grow with a family that sees their nanny as a vital part of their lives.
