*The Specifics
This family is seeking a highly reliable, experienced, and nurturing nanny to care for their four-month-old identical twin girls. The parents are thoughtful, and family-oriented, and are looking for a long-term nanny who can grow with their family over the next two to three years. Mom works from home and Dad works traditional hours as an engineer, so comfort working alongside a parent in the home is essential. While the twins may attend daycare two days per week, the family is flexible and open to adjusting schedules for the right candidate. Experience caring for twins is strongly preferred, as the parents value someone who understands the unique dynamics, pacing, and structure required when caring for two infants at the same developmental stage. Reliability, punctuality, and consistency are extremely important, as the family values routine and dependability.
The ideal nanny will be engaging, interactive, and passionate about infant development, with a strong understanding of milestones and age-appropriate enrichment. The family follows a gentle parenting philosophy and prioritizes responsive care. The nanny will be responsible for all baby-related care, including feeding, naps, diapering, and maintaining the twins’ established schedule, especially given their NICU history and the family’s intentional approach to sleep and nutrition. Screen-free care is essential, with an emphasis on developmental activities, outdoor time, and hands-on engagement. The family values outings and would love someone comfortable taking the babies on walks and, as they grow, to places like the zoo, libraries, and other enriching environments. They hope to find someone who enjoys helping the girls experience the world around them.
The family is active, loves to travel, and may be open to occasional travel with the nanny in the future. Occasional date-night support would be appreciated but not required. They are close with extended family, who live nearby. The home includes two older, friendly dogs—a corgi and a hypoallergenic breed so comfort letting them outside occasionally is needed. Overall, this role is best suited for a calm, confident, and knowledgeable nanny who brings both warmth and structure, understands infant development deeply, and is excited to build a long-term, trusting relationship with a loving and intentional family.
