*The Specifics

This active, family-first household is seeking a dedicated and organized nanny who can confidently support a busy home filled with school, sports, and meaningful family time. With children ranging from preschool through third grade, each child has a unique personality and full schedule, yet all enjoy staying active and engaged. The family describes themselves as respectful, humorous, committed to education, informal, fun, busy, and kind. They love deeply, value togetherness, and do their best to experience life as a family unit whenever possible. At the same time, they maintain clear expectations around manners, respect, and personal responsibility.

The ideal nanny will possess patience, kindness, punctuality, and strong organizational skills. They would also be creative, energetic, and genuinely enjoy engaging with children of varying ages and interests. The family is looking for someone who can handle a fast-paced environment with confidence and calm, balancing multiple schedules and moving parts seamlessly. Time management and the ability to stay on top of school events, sports practices, and extracurricular activities are essential. A proactive mindset is highly valued — someone who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative without being asked.

Daily responsibilities include school and activity pick-ups and drop-offs, helping children stay organized, and ensuring they are where they need to be on time. The nanny will assist with keeping children’s spaces tidy by encouraging and guiding the kids to clean up after themselves, fostering independence and responsibility. Light housekeeping related to the children, laundry, and occasional meal prep or cooking are part of the role. The family appreciates a nanny who understands that organization and structure help the household run smoothly.

This family enjoys being outdoors whenever possible and values creativity and active play over passive entertainment. The nanny should be hands-on, engaged, and willing to participate in games, crafts, outdoor adventures, and imaginative activities. They are social but also deeply cherish their time together as a core family unit.

Discipline in the home is loving but firm. The parents set clear expectations for appropriate behavior and hold their children accountable with age-appropriate consequences. They reinforce good behavior, celebrate milestones, and encourage kindness toward others. The nanny should feel comfortable supporting this approach by modeling respect, consistency, and fairness. Being able to balance warmth with structure is key.

Ideally, the family is seeking support for approximately 25 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer months when the children’s schedules shift. However, they are open to some flexibility in scheduling for the right long-term fit. Ultimately, this family is looking for a dependable, organized, and engaging professional who will invest in their children’s growth and development. They hope to welcome someone who shares their values of kindness, responsibility, and staying active, and who can confidently support a household that thrives on connection, structure, and joyful busyness.
