*The Specifics
This warm and welcoming family of four, including twin toddlers and their dog Pickles, is seeking a caring, patient, and experienced nanny to join their household long-term. They describe themselves as down-to-earth, easygoing, and friendly, and they value a nanny who shares their enthusiasm for engaging with children and fostering a fun, educational environment.
Both parents work remotely from home and recently moved back to Ohio from Washington, D.C., to be closer to family. Mom, originally from Cleveland, is Christian, and Dad, from Bangladesh, is Muslim. Together, they celebrate both holidays, embracing a blend of cultures and traditions. As a family, they love exploring parks, playgrounds, coffee shops, and restaurants in the Columbus area. Their twins have inherited their love of food and enjoy reading books, coloring, climbing, and discovering new activities.
The ideal nanny will have plenty of experience with toddlers and be organized, attentive, and patient. A second language, such as Spanish or Bangla, would be a big plus. The family hopes their nanny will create engaging and educational activities, inspire curiosity, and encourage learning. They especially appreciate someone enthusiastic and playful, as their girls gravitate toward people who are excited to interact with them. Light housekeeping related to the twins will be part of the role, including washing their dishes, organizing toys, and putting away laundry. While the nanny will not be responsible for pet care, they should be comfortable with Pickles, the family dog, who mostly stays in the parents' room during the day.
The nanny should be mindful of the twins' specific needs. One child has a strawberry sensitivity, while the other has a history of febrile seizures. Although the seizures are rare and the parents will typically be home, the nanny must be prepared to follow the child’s seizure action plan, which includes ensuring her safety, timing the seizure, and administering medicine if needed. This family is seeking a long-term nanny who will become part of their journey, helping their girls learn, grow, and thrive while sharing in their love of exploration and new experiences.
